The Erie to Pittsburgh Trail Alliance was established in 2008 with the vision to connect 270 miles of non-motorized trail in western Pennsylvania. Today the Alliance is made up of 16 trail organizations with over 100 partners engaged. The trail is roughly 70% completed with 188 miles of existing trail and 82 miles of planned trail.

 

The Alliance and our trail groups have had many achievements since it’s inception. In June 2023, we hosted a Supporter Event at the Pittsburgh Brewing Company to celebrate the accomplishments of the Alliance and the continued success in developing Pennsylvania's next great greenway.

 

We are also taking this opportunity to award our first Jim Holden Leadership Award to a notable trail leader in Allegheny County.
